I want to spend the next several posts talking about seven very important areas of life. They are so important, in fact, that a couple of amazing guys wrote a book about it! If you have never heard of the Oola book, you can go HERE to buy it from Amazon. Or, check out their website for some pretty cool Oola gear!
In their book, Dr. Dave (Oola Seeker) and Dr. Troy (Oola Guru), talk about the Seven F’s of Oola. They are Family, Faith, Fun, Finance, Fitness, Field, and Friends.
Today, I want to talk a little about family, and what it means to me to have Oola in that area.
To start, my family is amazing. I have an amazing husband, 6 amazing children, and more extended family than I can count on some days! We’re also in the process of getting a homestudy done with the hopes of adopting a sibling group in the U.S.
As a mom, you’d think family would be an easy one for me. After all, I’m around them all day! But, to be honest, this is an area where I find that I need to be very intentional. It’s SO easy to take family for granted! We trust that they will always be there. But, life is but a vapor. Almost daily I’m reminded how short life is. I just learned today of a young mom that was killed in a car accident last night. My question to myself is, “What am I doing today to keep my life in balance so I spend REAL time with my family?” I’m always at home, but am I always engaged in what is happening around me?
Young Living says this about the Family blend in the Infused 7 Kit:
“Family relationships are powerful and can sometimes be complicated. If you can harness the pure love from healthy family relationships, you will grow and progress toward your OolaLife.
The INFUSED Family™ Inspired by Oola essential oil blend has been specially formulated to support feelings of unconditional love, patience, and respect. This blend helps uplift, calm the mind, and may help control negative feelings.
Family affirmation: I am unconditionally loving, patient, and respectful.”
Wow! How many of us need these things in our family life? This blend has Lavender, Cardamom, Frankincense, Jasmine, Pine, Cedarwood, Xiang Mao, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, and more, all in a base of coconut oil for easy application. You can go HERE to read all of the ingredients in this amazing blend of Therapeutic Grade Essential Oils.
As for being intentional with family, I am committing to spending some dedicated time with each member of my family this week. Whether it’s reading a book, brushing hair, having a conversation, or taking a child out for ice cream, I want each person to know how much I love them and am happy that they are a part of our family.
How about you? What is something you can do this week to work on this important part of life?
